Nr. 7 - Conference on sexualized violence in childhood and youth in Zollernalbkreis (Germany)

The specialist conference on sexualized violence in childhood and youth in Zollernalbkreis (Germany) this week was a powerful experience. It brought together 200 participants – leaders, experts and advocates – all committed to addressing this urgent issue.

The creator of Body Voices, Eva, was honored to contribute in two ways. As a survivor, social entrepreneur and artist, she participated in the panel discussion. Sharing her story was deeply emotional, and the feedback she received was overwhelming – her words resonated with many people.

Eva also presented artwork - BODY VOICES I and a selection from DER BLINDE FLECK. The feedback was incredibly touching. One guest remarked: “The images are so beautiful, even though the topic is so heavy.” Eva replied simply “The children are beautiful.”

The day’s highlights included inspiring speeches, especially the keynote by Julia Gebrande, newly appointed chair of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers – Der Paritätische Regionalverbund Neckar-Alb, Feuervogel, TIMA Tübingen, AGIT Tübingen and Wirbelwind Reutlingen – for creating this space for awareness, dialogue and connection.
